Waking up at 5-ish in the morning, I thought to myself ‘I’m getting there’ as I was checking the time on the phone and forced self back to sleep for a tiny bit more. I woke up again; the phone read 6.06 AM. Good. Eyes still felt a bit heavy. I sit up and turned the phone on again.

Looking through photos and videos I took on Instagram yesterday, I selectively shared some of them on Facebook for my other friend(s) to see. In the back of my mind, I was hoping the blue-screen-light would carry a message onto my body that it’s time not to be procrastinating, signaling strongly like, don’t-you-dare-to-go-back-to-bed.

I got off bed and went to the bathroom. There, I took the s**t out. Ah, what a peace of mind at the dawn of the day. Off with a great start! Then I brushed teeth, got a cup o’ joe downstairs, took a picture of the tiny turtle friends in the tank next to the coffee maker, got back up to my room and started the “finger-dancing” on my iPad keyboard sipping on coffee. Hmm, delicious.

A couple days ago, Manny bought French Roast K-cup pods. He’d gone for a random surprise this time. Starbucks Pike Place is his favourite. Forgot to mention: Manny is the guy who’d offered me a room to stay. He didn’t seem he was happy with his draw this time though. I do, on the contrary, really like this French Roast. This morning, I tried it for the first time and I am loving it so far. Having another sip, dancing time’s up now and let the day begin again.
